The Sunday Times Wine Club, run in partnership with Laithwaites, is among the longest-established wine clubs in the UK and features regularly in the paper's weekend editorial. For the Summer 2022 issue I was commissioned by Paul Hammond at H2 to produce a pen and ink editorial illustration to accompany a Wine Club feature in The Sunday Times.

I worked the drawing at column-friendly scale, with hatching density calibrated for newsprint so the image held its weight against the paper's serif typography. The illustration was built to sit with the editorial decorum of the Sunday Times page while rewarding close reading at paper scale.

The piece ran with the Summer 2022 Wine Club feature.
